Role and purpose

The HQE Residential Certification Advisor is a professional who has undergone training, passed an examination and been recognised by Qualitel Certification.

The HQE Residential Certification Advisor is called upon during projects for their ability to:

  • master one or more HQE Residential certification standards,
  • assess projects aiming for HQE Residential certification.

Although optional, the involvement of an HQE Residential Certification Advisor provides the certification applicant with:

  • the experience and expertise of a professional,
  • greater ease in the certification process.

Reasons to become an HQE Residential Referent (H2)

Becoming a Referent allows professionals to:

  • train in HQE Residential,
  • enhance their skills through recognition from Qualitel Certification,
  • provide expertise and know-how to project leaders,
  • simplify the certification process.

This recognition attests to the professional’s abilities in:

  • implementing and managing effectively,
  • prioritising objectives appropriately in the context of the operation,
  • conducting reliable assessments,
  • mastering the certification process.

How to become an HQE Residential Referent?

Qualifications: degrees in architecture, engineering, urban planning, or a university degree or equivalent qualification in the field of construction or development with at least two years’ professional experience are accepted. Alternatively, more than five years’ professional experience as a project manager in the field of construction, operations or development is required.

Language: a sufficient level of French and/or English is required (ability to express general ideas with nuance and sufficient operational language skills to apply to the professional world).

Insurance: candidates must have (either directly or through their employer) professional liability insurance (or equivalent) covering the tasks for which they are responsible.

Regulations: candidates undertake to comply with the rules for recognition as an HQE Residential certification referent.

Procedure

Training: Applicants must complete a HQE Residential certification referent training course provided by Qualitel Certification or an organisation recognised by it.

Exemption: Applicants with at least three successful experiences in HQE Residential certified operations may be granted a reduction in the training requirements (with the exception of the exam).

Exam: Applicants must successfully complete a multiple-choice questionnaire.

Validity: Recognition is valid for 36 months, subject to meeting the maintenance requirements.

How to maintain HQE Residential certification referent status?

Report any changes that may affect your status.

Handle complaints relating to cases in which the referent is or has been involved.

Maintain your skills by completing HQE Residential referent training courses.

Maintain professional liability insurance or equivalent.

Quality control of assessments is carried out during certification. Holders are required to be involved in an HQE Residential certified project as an HQE Residential Referent within 36 months of the certification being issued.
